Bohan & Bradstreet (B&B) is an established senior staff to executive level search firm that develops, nurtures, and partners with clients to identify talent. We go beyond the search descriptions and "bear hug" our clients to learn their history, culture, structure, products or services, market channels, future plans and unique attributes. The good news is that the market is hot; B&B had their best year ever in 2006; over 65% of our searches are splits due to partnering within B&B; we are affiliated with national search organizations; and you will join a team that is lead by seasoned search professionals that want to mentor and develop their teammates to VP levels.
OPPORTUNITY: Our search consultants develop an awareness and insight for each recruiting project and provide a value adding, strategic solution search service to the hiring company and introspective, career enhancing insight and counseling with interviewing candidates. Our referral to placement ratio is one of the lowest in the industry and translates into the best quality search services available. You will consult with to a wide diversity of businesses from embryonic and entrepreneurial settings to established Fortune 500 corporations with "world class" environments. You will be exposed to highly confidential information, future business trends and executives of client companies that drive local and global markets. Our clients ask us to identify, source, evaluate and present selected professional profiles for opportunities from senior staff to executive level. We are highly visible to both our clients and candidates. Our success is our client's success. We are business partners with our clients and campaign managers for our candidates.
A search consultant in their first years spends a lot of time doing the following:

Researching companies, candidate files, and the Internet for quality candidates (20-25%)

Qualifying, interviewing and evaluating candidates for clients (10-15%)

Preparing and presenting candidates for searches (10%)

Communicating with candidates, clients, references, and search partners (40-50%)
-
Developing/executing marketing plans and search promotions (5-10%)
We are blessed with great clients and an established recruiting team; however, due to our success, we need to selectively add new search consultants for our two teams: (1) Accounting, Finance, Human Resources & IT and (2) Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain.
REQUIREMENTS: BS/BA a must. Seek 4+ years of business experience in sales of products or services sold to businesses. History of successful new business development and account management is ideal. Keys are strong oral and written communications skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task; curiosity to expand knowledge; desire to make a difference; problem solving; negotiation skills; team player; resourceful; ability to acquire and digest information quickly; sense of urgency; sense of humor; enthusiasm; desire to constantly improve and be empowered.
REWARD: 1st year can range from $50-75,000 (salary plus commissions); 2nd year expectations are $80-120,000; seasoned B&B consultants range from $150,000 to over $300,000 plus other perks.
